OpenAI's Applied team is at the forefront of bringing revolutionary AI technology to the world, with products like ChatGPT, DALL·E, and powerful APIs. We're looking for an experienced engineer to join our Financial Engineering team and help build the next generation of billing and monetization systems.
As part of this role, you'll work closely with various teams to design and implement internal APIs and tools that support billing data access and ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and build advanced billing and monetization systems
- Design tailored APIs for internal workflows across the entire stack
- Develop and integrate tools for seamless incorporation of billing data into team workflows
- Collaborate with Product, Data, Finance, Go-To-Market teams, and fellow engineers
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience (payments, billing, or monetization experience a plus)
- Passion for building internal tools and understanding diverse use cases
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with various partners
- Enthusiasm for learning and sharing knowledge
- Commitment to creating exceptional user experiences
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
